BRIEF HISTORY OF BARANGAY JUN CARLO


The creation of BarangayJun Carlo was introduced by Assemblyman Nemesio V. GananJr. To Batasan as Parliamentary Bill No. 1834.


On September 12, 1982 Batas Pambansa Blg. 240was approved and signed by Presiden Ferdinand E. Marcos. This Act Created Jun Carlo into a new BARANGAY with the following Sitio:


  1. Soong

  2. Green Valley

  3. Camborocay

  4. Dago-ok

  5. Tilalay

  6. Fronda


To this effort resolution No. 1611 was promulgated by the Commision on  Election on September 28, 1893 to hold a plebiscite in Brgy Pag- Alad, of the 460 registered voters for 251 participated in plebiscites. A total of 244 voted YES meaning 53% of the registered voters and 7 voted for NOwhich means only 2% in 20 did not participate or 45%. 

 

On the 4th of November 1983, the appointment of the new barangay officials was signed by Minister Jose A. Rono of the ministry of local Government. The following are appointed officials: 


  1. Guat Lee Ngo Ganan Brgy. Captain.

  2. Tancita Fajilagutan Councilman

  3. Delfin Santiago Councilman

  4. Gerson Galus Councilman 

  5. Nazaria Gadon Councilwoman

  6. Calixta Falile Councilwoman 


The Barangay Captain Guat Lee Ngo Ganan appointment the following:


  1. Siony Galus Brgy. Treasury

  2. Marilyn Cortez Brgy. Secretary


On the 27th of November, 1983 the barangay captain was sworn into office by Hon. Democrito Gadon, Mayor of San Andres.
